Anderson Japanese Garden, in Rockford Il, is a huge place relative to most Japanese gardens. It is a beautiful place, with many intriguing spots to stop and enjoy a quiet moment. A restaurant just opened in the visitors' center and I hear it is pretty good, although I haven't tried it. The view of the waterfall and garden is well worth a visit.
