This was one of the yards we walked through in the 2010 Michael J Fox Foundation Garden Walk to benefit Parkinson's Disease research. The home at 612 Staunton Road in Naperville, IL, is called Prairie Sun and is designed to look like a wild prairie. There are 100 species of savanna, dry prairie, and desert plants on the roof and more than 340 species of native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, prairie grasses, sedges and wetland plants in the 1/3 acre lot, with meandering paths and benchs to sit and soak in the day.
